TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, along with Additional EO A V Dharma Reddy and CVSO Gopinath Jatti, convened a media conference at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on the arrangements for Vaikuntha Ekadasi, on January 6, 2020, and the following Dwadasi.

He said that on Vaikuntha Ekadasi day, the darshan would commence at 2 am. The first three hours would be for protocol VIPs, and the darshan for common pilgrims would start at 5 am on January 6, he said.

The VQC 2 compartments will be filled up first, and then the sheds in the Narayanagiri Gardens, the Mada street galleries, and finally the queue lines at Kalyana Vedika.

Singhal said that a concrete plan had been chalked out for the distribution of Anna Prasadam, and three lakh water bottles had been kept ready at 172 locations for distribution to pilgrims.

The EO added that on Vaikuntha Ekadasi there would be a procession of the Swarna Ratham between 9 am and 11 am, and on Dwadasi, the Swami Pushkarini Theertha Mukkoti would be observed and the Sudarsana Chakrattalwar would be offered Chakra Snanam in the holy waters between 4:30 am and 5:30 am.

The Additional EO said that the SRIVANI Trust donors would report at 10 am and finish off their darshan in less than an hour after commencement of their turn for darshan. He said that they would report at VQC 1 and would be provided Maha Laghu Darshan along with other common pilgrims.

The CVSO said that the devotees would be sent through the Alwar Tank Rest House point into VQC 2 and later into the sheds of Narayanagiri Gardens on a first come first served basis. "The devotees who are joining will be sent through N1 Entry point near Medaramitta into the galleries of Mada streets through W7 Gate. We have also deployed our men, police, sevaks and scouts to operate the queue lines in a systematic manner," he added.
