The Andhra Pradesh Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) will run 400 special buses from the state capital to other districts, to clear the extra rush of passengers during Diwali.
Talking to media persons on Friday, Rangareddy Division Depot Regional Manager Vinod Kumar said that 350 buses will be operated from the Mahatma Gandhi bus station and 50 buses from the Jubilee bus station, to clear the rush of commuters.
He said that the RTC would operate additional buses depending upon the demand during the festival.
Apart from a reservation facility for these special buses, a waiting list of 20 will also be implemented. If the waiting list crosses 20, the RTC will deploy an additional bus on that route.
Vinod Kumar said that online reservation for the special bus services would be available at all RTC reservation counters in the state. (INN)
