APSRTC Strike To Be Indefinite
Telangana RTC Employees' JAC chairman Nanda Kumar accused the RTC MD Prasad Rao of misleading the CM by stating that the RTC strike would be on for only 2 days.
Telangana RTC Employees' JAC chairman Nanda Kumar on Monday announced that Telangana employees would continue to participate in the general strike till a Telangana Bill is introduced in Parliament.
Talking to reporters, Nanda Kumar clarified that the RTC employees' strike was not limited for 2 days. He said their participation in the strike was for an indefinite period, subject to the announcement of the formation of Telangana.
He said that the RTC managing director Prasad Rao had misled the Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy by stating that RTC employees would be part of the strike for only 2 days.
"Despite the inconvenience caused to them, the people of Telangana have appreciated the RTC employees' strike for the cause of a separate state," Nanda Kumar claimed, adding that the state government was planting baseless stories in the media about the on-strike RTC employees.
He warned that no private buses, especially those belonging to the Andhra region, would be allowed to ply on Telangana roads. (INN)
