AP's Farmers Give 33,000 Acres To Build Amaravathi
AP Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said that farmers in the State gave 33,000 acres of land to the government to build its capital city Amaravathi.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said that farmers in the State gave 33,000 acres of land to the government to build its future capital city Amaravathi.
Speaking to the media after inaugurating the new Chief Minister's Office at the Secretariat in Velagapudi, the Chief Minister thanked those who gave up their lands voluntarily and said that his government would reimburse and rehabilitate them at the earliest.
Naidu also said, "We laid foundations for the State Secretariat building on February 17, and within eight months we succeeded in constructing it. We want to work from these temporary structures itself for resolving the State's issues, handle its administration and to meet people's aspirations. We did not want to stall our work, and so we did not wait for the Secretariat at Amaravathi to be constructed."
The Chief Minister said that despite initial hiccups, his government would developed the Capital to meet international standards, as a lot of business, science and engineering firms were investing in and rendering their services to build the capital city of Amaravathi.
