The Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers Association on Wednesday gave a call for a "Chalo Hyderabad" rally on January 22 in protest against the proposed bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons here, APNGOs president P Ashok Babu said that the "Chalo Hyderabad" rally is aimed at laying seige to the Legislative Assembly, which would be debating the Telangana Bill.
He appealed to the every household in Seemandhra region to send at least one member to participate in the rally.
Ashok Babu also sought the support of all political parties for the proposed rally.
He said that the rally would demonstrate the strength of people's sentiment against the division of Andhra Pradesh.
Asking all legislators from the Seemandhra region to participate in the rally, he also insisted that all 159 MLAs vote against the Telangana Bill.
Ashok Babu said that the APNGOs would also organise a "Chalo Parliament" rally, if required, to stop the division of state. (INN)
