The Rashtra Samaikya Parirakshana Samiti (RSPS) is going to organise a public meeting in Vijayawada, on September 20. The event will be similar to the "Save Andhra Pradesh" meet that was held recently in Hyderabad. The proposed meet is reportedly to intensify the stir against the CWC's decision to bifurcate Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to reporters, the APNGOS working president, A Vidya Sagar, said, "Unlike the meet in Hyderabad, all walks of people will be present in this meet. Employees, students, teachers, traders and farmers are all invited to the Save Andhra Pradesh meeting at Vijayawada."
Vidya Sagar said that every single step of the people of Seemandhra is against the bifurcation. He called upon people to take part in the event as a duty, and reminded the elected representatives of Seemandhra of their responsibility to save the region.
He said, "To encourage the people to take part in the meeting, huge rallies will be organised from mandal level with a slogan - Gadapa Gadapaki Mee Badhyata."
President of RSPS P Ashok Babu and experts from various districts will reportedly address the gathering. "The future plan of action will be discussed on Monday with the state body, and a final decision will be taken at the meeting here," Vidya Sagar added.
Samaikyandra JAC advisor A Bhavani Prasad said that a meeting would be held at Hanuman Junction on October 2 to educate the farmers of Krishna and Godavari deltas as to how they will be affected due to the separation.
Condemning a few news channels for falsely speculating that there are solutions for the delta problems if divided, he said the Centre and the Supreme Court have been failing since decades to solve the inter-state water sharing problem.
Student JAC convener D Avinash said that a meeting would be conducted on September 18 for the sake of youth, in which the problems that the education sector will face, will be explained.
