Former general secretary of APNGOs P Subbarayan on Saturday levelled serious allegations against the Andhra Pradesh Non-Gazetted Officers' Association president Ashok Babu.
Addressing a press conference at Somajiguda Press Club, Subbarayan alleged that Ashok Babu had exploited the sentiments of Seemandhra people for his own gains. He asked Ashok Babu to disclose the accounts of the public meeting held at L B Stadium for Samaikyandhra.
He said that the meeting was originally funded by some politicians and corporates, and that the APNGOs had also collected Rs. 10 from each participant. He asked Ashok Babu to disclose all the accounts of receipts and spending.
Alleging that Ashok Babu was behaving like a Chief Minister, Subbarayan alleged that the APNGOs president did not take other office bearers into confidence, and that he accumulated large sums of money. He said that Ashok Babu was not trying to pursue his political goals. (INN)
