PCC Secretary Ambati Rambabu on Sunday said that he was skeptical of the news of him being suspended from the party, and denied receiving any such information.
Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) Secretary Ambati Rambabu on Sunday said that he was skeptical about the news of him being suspended from the party, and denied receiving any information regarding his suspension, either from the AICC or through the PCC.
Talking to media persons at his residence, Mr. Rambabu said that he had come to know about his suspension through only the media. He said that no Congress leader had informed him about the suspension, nor was there any word from the party high command.
Mr. Rambabu expressed the view that there must be some miscommunication since he had been given time to offer an explanation to the party disciplinary committee on his outburst against Chief Minister K Rosaiah till July 31. Mr. Rambabu had appeared before the Congress disciplinary committee on July 12, and had asked for time till the end of the month to file a proper explanation.
The PCC secretary said that he could only elaborate on the news after getting to know the facts. He said that he was sure that no action was taken on him, and that it would be wrong on his part to answer queries till he receives any communication from the party over his suspension.
