Speaker Nadendla Manohar on Tuesday served notices to suspended senior TDP leader Nagam Janardhan Reddy and his party colleague Harishwar Reddy, under violation of Privilege Rights of House.
Seeking explanation from them within a week, the Speaker asked them why they lodged a police complaint against him under 'missing man' at Saifabad police station when he had merely gone to attend the Common Wealth Speaker's conference in London.
The Speaker said that he had already informed all legislators that he was attending a conference in London, and that Nagam had lodged the complaint despite the information he had.
Nagam had said they were constrained to lodge a complaint with the police as the Speaker was eluding them deliberately to accept their resignations forthwith. (INN)
