With the action shifting to New Delhi on the selection of the next cabinet, the state Secretariat premises bore a deserted look on Saturday.
The only really activity witnessed here was that of a television channel crew trying to elicit views on the aspirations, hopes, expectations and thoughts of the Secretariat staff on the new government.
Not surprisingly, the government staff aired their views unfettered. These views ranged from the auto menace, irregular movement of lorries in the cities, poor sanitation in most of the suburbs, power breakdowns, and mineral water companies making brisk business using government water and bore-water, among others.
Surprisingly, the staff were not heard talking about the issues making it to the pages of newspapers. These issues, like the DSC-2008 and the Telangana movement, were perhaps left to the official statements of the new ministers, whenever they might be sworn in.
