TDP Making False Claims: Sudhakar Reddy

Not long after PCC chief Botsa Satyanarayana announced that the Congress had won the PR polls, Congress MLC Ponguleti Sudhakar Reddy accused the Telugu Desam Party of making false claims of victory in the first phase of the Panchayat elections.

Talking to reporters in the Congress Legislature Party office, Sudkhakar Reddy said that the contestants in the Panchayat elections were not grouped on the basis of the symbols of their respective parties.

Therefore, Sudhakar alleged, the TDP was trying to take advantage of the same by claiming that a majority of winners belonged to TDP.

Speaking about the meeting of Seemandhra ministers, Sudhakar Reddy said that the Seemandhra leaders were trying to cause obstructions in the formation of a separate Telangana state. However, he hoped that the Congress High Command will take a decision in favour of Telangana in the near future. (INN)
