With the budget session in the Assembly ending next week, a reshuffle of the cabinet is being eagerly awaited by the AP ministers after Chief Minister K. Rosaiah's return from his proposed trip to New Delhi.
With the permissible strength of the Cabinet being 43 (11 per cent of the membership of the legislature), there is scope for inducting 9 more Ministers into the current 34-member team.
Veterans and first-time MLAs are equally enthusiastic about the expected reshuffle. While seniors like J C Diwakar Reddy, K Jana Reddy and Kasu Venkatakrishna Reddy have frequently visited the CM lately, around two dozen MLAs, including newcomers like Marri Sashidhar Reddy, are said to have already drafted letters to the CM expressing their desire to work under him.
It is not clear if Rosaiah will drop a few members or just induct new members.
