Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu today chaired a cabinet meeting in Amaravathi.
Several key issues are learnt to have come up for discussion in the meeting. It is also learnt that the CM gave several important instructions to the higher officials on the occasion.
The CM is reported to have directed officials to clear Rs 900 crore kept for Neeru-Chettu scheme. He also told the officials that many activists and leaders were roaming around for the clearance of their dues for the pre-2019 houses, and asked them to clear the dues at the earliest. He instructed the district incharge ministers to focus on the issue of the dues when they visited their districts.
There was reportedly a long discussion on revenue in the conference, during which Naidu stressed on the need for the ministers and officials to pay attention to bogus passbooks and registrations.
The CM also said that some Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) had been signed for renewable energy projects during his recent Davos visit, and asked the ministers and the officials concerned to focus on the grounding of the projects.
Among other issues, Naidu asked the officials to focus on setting up a training institute for the customs department in Anantapur district saying that even the officers of the State needed training. He also asserted that electricity charges could not be hiked by a single paisa, and also said that DRC meetings needed to be held regularly.
