The new program will involve elected representatives going to villages and personally interacting with people regarding the government's welfare schemes.
The state government is launching a program called "Indiramma Baata", to ensure that benefits of its welfare programs reach the deserving poor.
According to a media release by the chief minister's office, the program will involve the CM, ministers and elected representatives going to villages and personally interacting with people regarding the government's welfare schemes.
Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy held detailed discussions with his ministers on Indiramma Baata, at his camp office, on Tuesday.
The CM will tour along with ministers in charge of the flagship programs, and district in-charge ministers. The CM said that he hopes to complete Indiramma Baata in at least 100 Assembly segments in a month's period.
"We have to inform the public about the welfare programs reaching them, and find out if there are any gaps in the implementation. Hence, directions can be given to the administration for rectification", the chief minister added.
Ministers Botsa Satyannarayana, K Jana Reddy, A Ramnarayana Reddy, S Vijayarama Raju, K Lakshminarayana, Dr. J Geetha Reddy, Sabitha Indra Reddy, Suneetha Lakshma Reddy, M Maheedhara Reddy, B Sudershan Reddy, Vatti Vasanthakumar, P Satyannarayana, K Pathasarathy, D Nagender, S Sailajanath, M Mukhesh Goud, B Saraiah, Ahmadullah, Kondru Murali, G Prasad Kumar attended the meeting.
Chief secretary Minie Mathew, and principal secretaries of various departments and other senior officials attended as well.
According to the CMO release, the objectives of Indiramma Baata would be to assess whether benefits were reaching the deserving. It will also find out the gaps in implementation, to help the government rectify them for a time-bound implementation.
All of the government's flagship programs will be reviewed and monitored on the field, the release said.
The release also said that surprise inspection of schools, hostels, hospitals, FP shops, bank branches, Anganwadi centres and Nutrition cum Day Care Centres (NDCC) will be held. In addition, review meetings will be held with officials to speed up the implementation of programs.

The proposed Indiramma Baata will be on for 3 days.
The first day will consist of inspection of PHC/CHC/hospitals, MGNREGS/IJP and housing colonies. A community lunch/dinner, interaction with IKP members, inspection of FP shops, interaction with Aarogyasri patients, inspection of SC/ST hostels and residential schools, dinner with boarder, and a night halt in a hostel or an ashram school.
The next day comprises inspection of the Jalayagnam Project site and other irrigation projects, a visit to farmers' fields and an interaction with farmers, a visit to a Rajiv Yuva Kiranaalu Training Centre and interaction with the youth, lunch with the youth, a visit to weavers'/fishermen's colony and an interaction with them, a visit to a tribal thanda, interaction and dinner at a tribal welfare hostel/Ashram School and night halt will be taken up.
On the last day of the program, a review of the flagship programs, and lunch with non-officials will be organized, the CMO release added. (INN)
