Pawn CM's Home, Pay Fee Arrears: TDP

TDP leader T Devender Goud said that the Chief Minister should pawn his official residence to pay fee reimbursement arrears.
Hyderabad | 15th February 2011
Senior Telugu Desam Party leader T Devender Goud on Tuesday stated that the state government could mortgage the Chief Minister's official residence, the Legislative Assembly and the Secretariat to clear the pending arrears of fee reimbursement.

Talking to media persons, the TDP leader said the government could look into the option of mortgaging the Chief Minister's official residence and the other 2 historical public buildings.

He said the state government has already dispensed of a few corporations due to dearth of funds.

Criticising the government for claiming that the financial position of the state was pathetic, he said that the government revenues had increased a lot and it was not proper for the government to say that it was facing dearth of funds to clear fee reimbursement dues.

He said the government was already showing apathy towards implementing YSR's schemes stating that they were burdening the exchequer.
