BJP leaders from Andhra Pradesh on Monday met the state's Governor E S L Narasimhan in Hyderabad and submitted a representation urging him to issue instructions to the authorities concerned to provide fool-proof security to the key leaders of the party in the state as they were facing threats from the ruling TDP and its leaders.
The delegation consisted of Sudhis Ramboltla, V Dinesh Reddy, P Vijay Babu and others. In their representations, the leaders cited several examples including the attack on the residence of the party's state unit president K Lakshminarayana allegedly by TDP leaders. They also alleged that Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu was behind all the attacks.
The leaders urged the Governor to hold Naidu personally responsible for any violent incidents that their leaders faced in the future in the state.
