Andhra Pradesh Governor E S L Narasimhan met UPA Chairperson and Congress president Sonia Gandhi, and members of the Group of Ministers (GoM) on Telangana, in the national capital on Wednesday.
Sources say that the Governor, who is on a 3-day tour, discussed the modalities of the bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh and the formation of Telangana state.
He first met Finance Minister P Chidambaram, and then called on Sonia Gandhi.
Later, he met Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Reddy and Minister of State in the PMO V Narayanawami, who is the special invitee in the GoM on Telangana.
However, when asked by the mediapersons, Narasimhan tried to downplay his visit, and said that he was in the national capital to meet "elders".
He did not disclose any details of his deliberations with the Central leaders. (INN)
