After holding a cabinet meeting outside the joint capital Hyderabad, the Andhra Pradesh Government is now preparing to conduct its Assembly session at the Nagarjuna University in Guntur.
The six-day Assembly session is likely to be held in the second or third week of December.
According to sources, Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu has directed the officials to prepare the university to host the Assembly session.
Speaker Kodela Sivaprasada Rao is also likely to visit the university on Monday to review the arrangements.
It may be mentioned that the old Assembly building has been allocated to Andhra Pradesh. Although the AP Government can use the facilities in Hyderabad, the joint capital, for 10 years, the Chief Minister is reportedly keen on shifting major activities to locations around the Vijayawada-Guntur area where the new capital will be constructed.
