Akkineni Nageswara Rao who passed away in the early hours of Wednesday, was cremated at Annapurna Studios at around 4.30pm today.
Hordes of fans kept arriving to pay their last respects to the Telugu cinema legend, who died battling cancer.
ANR was shifted from Annapurna Studios to AP Film Chamber in the morning.
From there, at around 1.30pm, a procession with fans in tow, raising "ANR ki jai ho" slogans, went back to Annapurna Studios, where the thespian's last rites were performed.
The family had earlier decided to perform the last rites at the burial ground in Erragadda. However on request of Murali Mohan, President of Movie Artists Association, the family finalized the studios, founded by ANR himself, nearly 60 years ago.
A memorial will also be constructed at the studios, for fans to pay homage.
