The Andhra Pradesh government has decided to declare the students who are studying in the 6th to the 9th classes as promoted in view of the lockdown announced by it to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus COVID-19.
The school education department of the state on Thursday decided to cancel the annual exams (summative assessment-II) for the students by citing that it was not feasible to hold the exams due to the lockdown announced by it from March 25 to April 14. It therefore issued orders asking all its regional joint directors and district educational officers to take steps to declare the students concerned as passed.
