AP New Cabinet Sworn In, Portfolios Allotted

The 25-member new cabinet of Andhra Pradesh was sworn in Vijayawada today.
Governor Biswabhushan Harichandan administered the oath of office to the newly inducted ministers of Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy's cabinet.
The new ministers were also allotted their portfolios soon after their swearing-in ceremony.
Although it was touted that R K Roja would be made the home minister, Jagan surprised everybody and picked Taneti Vanitha for the post.
Roja was given the much less-coveted tourism & sports portfolio.
Buggana Rajendranath Reddy retained his old finance portfolio. Botsa Satyanarayana was entrusted education, Dharmana Prasada Rao was given revenue & stamps, Mutyala Amarnath got panchayat raj, and G Amarnath got IT & industries.
Peddireddy Ramachandra Reddy got the minerals and forest department, and Vidadala Rajani got health.
Amjad Basha got minority welfare, Ambati Rambabu got irrigation, Peedika Rajanna was allotted tribal welfare, Seediri Appala Raju was given animal husbandry and fisheries, Adimulapu Suresh got municipal administration & urban development, Narayanaswami got excise, Venugopal got BC welfare, Usha Sri Charan got women & child welfare, Meruga Nagarjuna got social welfare, and D Raja got roads & buildings.
Nageswara Rao and Gummaluru Jayaram got the civil supplies and labour departments respectively, Kakani Govardhan and Jogi Ramesh got agriculture and housing respectively, P Viswaroop got transport and K Satyanarayana got endowments.
