The second phase of the State Legislative Council's budget session will begin from June 17.
This time, the council will have 10 new faces in the House, including the new Leader of the Opposition Yanamala Ramakrishnudu. Similarly, TRS will have a new floor leader Swami Goud during the second leg of the budget session.
The council's session is likely to be stormy due to the entry of senior leaders like Y S Ramakrishnudu and former minister Mohammad Ali Shabbir. The opposition parties are likely to pull up the government over the issues like that of the tainted ministers, corruption, Telangana and irregularities in the APPSC.
Of the 97 seats in the Legislative Council, as many as 15 seats (to be elected by local bodies) are vacant. The other members include 31 from the MLAs quota, 20 from amongst local authorities, 15 nominated and 8 each from teachers and graduate constituencies. (INN)
