AP Govt Firm On Farm Loan Waiver: Deputy CM
Deputy CM Krishna Murthy said the government would hold consultations with the bankers and senior officials of the RBI on the issue, and find a solution.
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister K E Krishna Murthy on Saturday expressed confidence that the Andhra Pradesh government would soon find a solution to the issue of the promised waiver of farmers' agricultural loans.
Speaking to media persons, Krishna Murthy said that the government would hold consultations with the bankers and senior officials of the Reserve Bank of India on the issue.
He said that the farmers need not worry about the objections being raised by the RBI over the schemes, and that Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu was firm on waiving off their loans and would ensure that the promise gets fulfilled.
The Deputy CM also informed that steps were being taken to convert Rayalaseema into an industrial hub. (INN)
