21 Convicted For Drunk Driving

21 more people are convicted for driving in an inebriated condition in Hyderabad

As many as 21 people were sent to jail by different courts for driving in an inebriated condition.

The Third Metropolitan Magistrate B Chengalaraya Nayudu sentenced 4 people to a 5 days-imprisonment period, and 16 people to 3 days-imprisonment period.

The Fourth Metropolitan Magistrate Shiva Shanker Prasad convicted five people for a 1 day-imprisonment period each for drunken driving.

This enforcement against drunk driving was carried out over the last weekend i.e. on July 5 & 6.

From January 1, 2013 to July 6, 2013, a total of 6920 cases have been registered, and a total of 577 convictions have been doled out till date. (INN)
