The YSR Congress Party termed the Andhra Pradesh government budget as a jugglery of figures.
Speaking to media persons at the Assembly Media Point on Thursday, YSRCP MLAs said that the AP government had allotted a meagre amount for the completion of the major irrigation projects. The projects needed Rs 10,000 crores for completion, they said, and asked the government how they could be completed without adequate funds.
They also said that the government hadn't given priority to backward classes, women and DWCRA groups in the Budget.
They criticized Finance Minister Yanamala Ramakrishnudu for reading the budget in English, which they said was a ploy to ensure that most people would not understand it.
Chevireddy Bhaskar Reddy, K Srinivasulu, A Basha and others spoke.
