In view of the extensive damage by the severe cyclonic storm Hudhud in the Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram and Srikakulam districts, the Government of Andhra Pradesh has appealed to the general public to donate generously to the CM's Relief Fund to take up restoration, relief and rehabilitation works.
Chief Secretary I Y R Krishna Rao stated that the donations to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund would be 100% exempt from Income Tax under 80G of the IT Act.
He requested the public, corporates and others to generously contribute.
