Pointing out to the rumblings in the Kiran Reddy government, staunch supporter of former Kadapa MP Y S Jaganmohan Reddy and former MLC H A Rahman on Thursday described the new cabinet as a "China Cabinet".
Rahman said that the government led by Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was like the goods manufactured by neighbouring country China. He said that it was deceptively good looking, but lacked durability.
Rahman added that the best description of the Kiran Reddy government would be to label it as "Made in China".
Pointing out to the poster at the CLP media point which displays the visage of former chief minister K Rosaiah instead of incumbent N Kiran Kumar Reddy, the former MLC said that even the Congress party did not believe that the Kiran Reddy government would last long.
The normal trend was to change the image with that of the present Chief Minister as soon as he was sworn in, the Jagan-loyalist pointed out.
Rahman added that though the High Command and some ministers might try to project the rebellion in the cabinet as 'expected', the reality was that this dissent was unprecedented with some ministers
resigning within one day of being sworn in.
The former MLC added that the rumblings were the signals that all was not well with the Congress party, especially in the aftermath of Jaganmohan Reddy's resignation.
He stated that the former Kadapa MP's resignation would trigger off a cascading affect, and more resignations would follow suit, despite Jaganmohan Reddy's plea to his supporters not to destabilise the government.
Rahman added that though Kiran Reddy had been a good wicketkeeper during his cricket playing days, he would have to brace himself for the sticky wicket ahead where a spin bowler could be expected to bowl faster than a pace bowler and vice-versa.
