Anam Blames Delay In Seemandhra Agitation For T-Bill
Anam said that the delay in the agitation resulted in the T Bill. He added that the impact would have been different if the Seemandhra agitation would begin earlier.
Congress MLA Anam Vivekananda Reddy here on Wednesday expressed regret over the delay in taking up the agitation for united Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking to media persons here, Anam said that the delay in launching the Samaikyandhra agitation resulted in introduction of the Telangana Bill.
He said that the impact would have been different if the agitation would have had been launched 6 months ago.
"Since there is calm in the Seemandhra region, the Centre mistook it for agreement for the formation of Telangana state and began the bifurcation process," he said.
He also expressed regret that senior leaders like S Jaipal Reddy were supporting the Telangana demand for political gains.
Anam requested the legislators from Seemandhra region to oppose the Telangana Bill in the Assembly and Council. (INN)
