Union Home Minister Amit Shah today inaugurated a new lab in the Central Forensic Science Laboratory campus in the city.
The lab, named the National Cyber Forensic Laboratory, will help in faster disposal of cyber crimes.
Shah toured the lab and interacted with the scientists of the lab. He encouraged the scientists to get sophisticated equipment at the lab that would put an end to the ever-growing cyber crime menace.
Earlier in the day, Shah landed at the Begumpet airport on a special aircraft. Telangana BJP leaders including union minister Kishan Reddy; MLAs Eatala Rajendar, Raja Singh and Raghunandan Rao; and D K Aruna, Vivek Venkatswamy, Vijayashanti, Muralidhar Rao and others accorded a warm welcome to him.
Shah went to the Novotel Hotel at Shamshabad by road from the airport, and interacted with the Telangana BJP core committee members there about the electoral strategy to be followed by the party.
The main agenda for Shah's visit is addressing a public meeting at Tukkuguda south of the city being held to conclude the second leg of Telangana BJP president Bandi Sanjay's padayatra of Telangana. All stops are being pulled by the State BJP leaders to make the attendance at the meeting massive.
