Former Indian cricketer Ambati Rayudu today met Jana Sena party chief Pawan Kalyan at the latter's residence in Amaravathi.
Rayudu had recently resigned from the YSRCP - within less than 10 days of joining the party. He had tweeted then that he would announce his future course of action later. He is said to have wanted to contest for the Guntur Lok Sabha seat, and reportedly resigned from the YSRCP as the party did not give him clarity on the ticket.
It now appears that he is likely to join the Jana Sena.
Rayudu belongs to the Kapu community, to which Pawan Kalyan too belongs. The Kapu vote bank is high in AP, and Rayudu's joining the Jana Sena is likely to benefit the party.
Kalyan has already announced that he will contest the AP Assembly elections in alliance with the TDP.
