Am Like Advani, No Lust For CM Post: Jana Reddy

Reiterating that he would have no problem whichever Congressman became the Chief Minister of Telangana after the 2019 elections, CLP leader K Jana Reddy said that he was like the BJP's seniormost leader Lal Krishna Advani in that respect.

He said that Advani received great respect from his party leaders though he didn't achieve top-most position. "I too come under the same category. I am getting all the respect and love that I want from the party men. I am trying my level best to coordinate with all the party leaders to ensure the growth of the party, which is my only objective."

"The High Command may not dare to change the PCC president before the 2019 elections. But that doesn't impact me - I perform my role perfectly. I am not giving publicity to the coordination works done by me within the party since such publicity may boomerang," he said.

Interfering in the chitchat with the reporters, MLC Jeevan Reddy said that there was a common feeling among the people and the partymen that the Congress would have done better if the TPCC chief position hade been given to Jana Reddy before the 2014 elections. Reacting to it, Reddy said that that meant that the people and the party cadre had respect for him.
