Congress MLC Jeevan Reddy today accused BRS working president K T Rama Rao of attempting to distract the people from the Formula E race corruption case.
Addressing the media at the Congress Legislative Office (CLP), Reddy said that KTR, who was undergoing a trial related to the case, was provoking the judge merely to divert attention away from it.
The MLC also took the opportunity to speak about other issues concerning the State. He accused the BRS of deceiving the farmers for a decade and of now waging false protests for them paying just lip service.
However, within just one year of assuming power, the Congress government had successfully implemented loan waivers of up to Rs 2 lakh for farmers, he said, a feat not matched anywhere else in the nation.
Reddy also said that financial assistance amounting to Rs 12,000 per acre per year would commence on January 26 under the Rythu Bharosa scheme.
He also claimed that the previous government had neglected issues related to ration cards, and failed to implement initiatives such as the free transportation scheme for women and the provision of 200 free units of electricity consumption, all of which the current Congress government was delivering on.
