Rachakonda Police Commissioner Mahesh Bhagavath said that the police had readied everything for the T20 match to be held between India and Australia on October 13 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Uppal.
Speaking to the media, Bhagavath said that the match would start at 7 pm, and that the gates of the stadium would be opened at 4 pm.
He said that the match would progress smoothly in case there was no rain, and that measures had been taken to do the best even if rain interrupted the match. He suggested that the spectators go to the ropes in case it rained, to cover themselves.
He also asked people not to bring laptops, cameras, match boxes, binoculars, batteries, bags, banners, cigarettes, lighters, coins, helmets, water bottles, electronic items, writing pens, perfumes, eateries, power banks and some other items to the stadium.
He said that more than 9,000 vehicles were likely to come to the stadium. Car owners needed to park their vehicles at the LG godown and enter the stadium from gates 1 and 2.
About 1,800 police personnel and 56 CCTV cameras are reported to be deployed in and around the stadium for the match. The police will supervise the security arrangements through a joint command and control room.
