The Nirmal police have decided to send the speech of MIM leader Akbaruddin Owaisi to a Chandigarh lab for voice analysis.
The decision to conduct the voice analysis was taken after Akbaruddin Owaisi claimed that the video played by the media was doctored, and that his voice was dubbed.
While being interrogated in police custody in the alleged hate speech case, Akbaruddin Owaisi reportedly admitted that although he had delivered a speech in Nirmal last month, the videos being uploaded and played in the media were doctored, in order to defame him.
According to sources, the police will send the CDs of his speech, along with his voice recorded during his interrogation, to the Armed Reserves Headquarters, for comparison and analysis.
The police expect to receive the report on voice analysis in the next one week. (INN)
