Akbar Owaisi Taken To Nizamabad

MIM floor leader and Chandrayan Gutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi will today be transferred from Adilabad Jail, where he is currently lodged in a case of allegedly having delivered hate speeches, to the Nizamabad District Jail.

Owaisi, whose custody had been awarded to the Nizamabad police at an earlier hearing, had been thoroughly interrogated by them for a day. During this, he had categorically denied the voice in video clippings of his speech on 8 December, broadcasted by 4TV Khabernama - the self-proclaimed mouthpiece of AIMIM, as being his. Owaisi had claimed that it was him in the video, but that someone had imitated his voice, and that the anti-Hindu statements in the video could not be ascribed to him.

It is with regard to this claim that his voice will be recorded today, and compared to that in the video.
