The Andhra Pradesh High Court, on Friday, rejected a petition filed by MIM floor leader Akbaruddin Owaisi in connection with the alleged hate-speech cases.
Earlier, Akbaruddin Owaisi had filed a petition before the High Court, seeking directions for the police department to refrain from filing multiple FIRs against him in different police stations.
He had told the court that two separate cases had already been registered against him in Nirmal and Nizamabad towns. However, the High Court rejected Owaisi's petition, although it did say that there would be a single investigation in the case. (INN)
