After the 2nd operation on Majlis Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) leader and Chandrayangutta MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi, who was
shot at yesterday and is on ventilator-support for breathing, a medical bulletin released by the MIM stated that his condition was stable, and that he was out of danger.
However, angry supporters of the leader are reported to be protesting outside the Care Hospital in Banjara Hills. The protestors who are staging a sit-down demonstration outside the hospital have been causing traffic troubles on Banjara Hills Road No. 1 and other connecting roads.
In view of the huge gathering protesting outside the hospital, a police force is being sent to monitor the situation.
According to reports, the police has seized 2 firearms that were allegedly used in yesterday's sensational shoot-out. Commissioner of Police A K Khan stated that a committee of 3 DCPs, and special task force members, have been deputed to look into the investigation of the chilling incident.
Earlier, Home Minister Sabitha Indra Reddy had ordered a Central Crime Station (CCS) investigation into the case.
