Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao said that his government was prepared to discuss with anyone the unemployment issue, but at the same cautioned that there was no question of yielding to any pressure tactics.
Intervening in the Assembly on Tuesday during Question Hour as the BJP members created a ruckus and disturbed the proceedings in the House regarding the unemployment issue on which the party had moved an adjournment motion, the Chief Minister told them that any problem could be resolved amicably by discussions. His government were ready to discuss any issue, he said.
Referring to the Chalo Assembly call given by the BJP, and the agitation by the ABVP and BJYM members outside the Assembly that he said created a law and order problem, the Chief Minister said that such agitations were usually resorted to by people only when there was an incapability to make their voices heard in the Assembly, which was clearly not the case here. Recalling such agitations in the past, he pointed out that the governments were compelled to impose prohibitory orders to maintain law and order. As part of this process, the police also needed to resort to arrests, he said.
He expressed hope that the protesting BJP members would cooperate and allow the proceedings in the House to continue. However, not satisfied with the Chief Minister's explanation, the BJP members staged a walkout from the House.
