Telangana lawyers demanding quota pelt stones at police in Pargi Court.
Hyderabad | 17th September 2010
Even as the news of High Court Justice C V Nagarjuna Reddy's resignation spread, lawyers resorted to stone-pelting at police in Pargi Court of Rangareddy district, under Kurkacherla Police station limits, on Friday.

According to the police, one sub-inspector, identified as Rajaiah, suffered minor injuries in the stone-pelting incident. Police said that Rajaiah is attached to Mahbubabad, but was given charge of the Kurkacherla police station.

Police further said that the situation was tense but under control. The lawyers were protesting to press for their demands of a 42% reservation in Judiciary posts to people from the Telangana region.
