A tragic incident occurred at the Telangana High Court today when an advocate named Venugopal Rao collapsed in the courtroom and later died after suffering a heart attack.
The incident took place during a hearing in the 21st courtroom, where Rao was presenting his arguments in a case.
Witnesses say that he collapsed suddenly while speaking, prompting fellow lawyers present in the courtroom to immediately rush him to Osmania Hospital in an ambulance for medical attention.
Doctors at the hospital however said that the advocate had passed away despite their efforts to save him.
In response to this tragic event, the judge presiding over the 21st courtroom suspended all hearings for the day as a mark of respect. In all the other courtrooms, too, urgent petitions and passover petitions were heard, while regular petitions were adjourned to a later date.
The sudden demise of Rao left his colleagues saddened, and many expressed their condolences.
