Apoorva Endorses Sri Reddy Sexual Harassment Charges

Another Tollywood actress, Apoorva, on Sunday made sensational comments alleging that some "elders" in the Telugu film industry routinely committed atrocities on junior artistes who reached out to them for opportunities.

Tollywood junior actress Sri Reddy had come out sensationally over the past two weeks against the casting couch in Tollywood, alleging sexual harassment by prominent people in the industry of young artistes. Corroborating these allegations in a conversation with the media today, Apoorva said that the "casting couch devil" haunted junior actresses relentlessly.

Apoorva said that several junior actresses had decided to escalate the fight against the sexual harassment in the industry, and if needed, would also go on an indefinite hunger strike.

Expressing her agony over some people belittling them, Apoorva said that it was okay even if such critics did not extend support, but they should not make insensitive comments. She also lamented that young aspiring actresses should not have to sleep with gangsters for Rs 1,000.
