In a shocking incident, an accused in a murder case was killed at the hands of his co-accused, after a tiff between the 2 at the district Court in Miryalguda in Nalgonda, on Tuesday.
According to SDPO Janardhan Reddy, the victim Bandari Konda (25) alias Kondaiah was an ex-convict and a resident of Vijaya Town in Miryalguda.
Kondaiah, along with his associate Khaja Moinuddin, was on bail, and had arrived in court to attend the hearing in an attempt-to-murder case under Section 307 IPC, at 9:45am. The hearing was scheduled for 10:30am.
The 2 entered an argument inside the court premises on a trivial issue. Soon after, an incensed Khaja took out a small knife from his pocket and stabbed Kondaiah repeatedly.
The brutal stabbing left the other people at the spot dumb-founded, and before they could react, Khaja made good his escape from the spot.
Policemen who were at the court alerted their colleagues. Kondaiah was rushed to hospital, where doctors confirmed that he had died in the attack.
Police registered a new case against Khaja under Section 302 IPC.
