Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Friday raided 11 houses of Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) Director (Planning) K Purushotham Reddy and his relatives simultaneously in connection with a disproportionate assets case booked against him.
This is the second time that ACB officials raided Reddy. In 2009 a similar case was booked against him but he was let off by the then united AP government.
When the ACB officials came to his house, Reddy escaped. His house in Banjara Hills and his in-laws' house in S R Nagar have both been sealed. He is reported to have amassed illegal properties in the name of benamis and his brother-in-law.
The officials reportedly detected illegal assets worth about Rs 30 crores in the day-long raids.
