The Andhra Pradesh High Court on Monday expressed its serious displeasure over the Anti-Corruption Bureau’s failure in submitting a comprehensive report on the liquor syndicate issue.
When the ACB council informed the court that it would take at least three months of time to complete the probe and submit a comprehensive report, the court was seriously displeased with the dilly-dallying and directed the officials to submit a comprehensive report within four weeks.
The court also ordered the ACB not to spare anyone irrespective of their position and to book cases against all of them. Stating that the investigations have reached the final phase, the ACB told the court that it has registered 48 cases so far in connection with the liquor scam. (INN)
