Abu Salem Injured By Dawood's Man

Underworld don Abu Salem was injured in a fight with an alleged 'D-Company' member inside the Arthur Road Jail.

Underworld don Abu Salem was injured in a fight with an alleged 'D-Company' member inside the Arthur Road Jail on Saturday.

According to reports reaching here, Abu Salem was allegedly attacked by one Mustafa Dossa with the sharp edge of a spoon, during breakfast, and was injured on the neck and shoulder. He is reported to be currently undergoing treatment inside the jail by doctors.

Dossa is a member of the 'D-Company' the gang of underworld don Dawood Ibrahim.

Salem is one of the accused in the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts. He is also being tried for 8 other cases, including 2 murders.

He is also facing charges of obtaining a passport by giving false information to the Hyderabad Passport officials, and is facing trial in the city.

He was extradited from Portugal in 2005, along with his companion Monica Bedi.
