Chatrinaka police on Thursday nabbed a private financier for illegally confining his 'client' for 47 days.
According to police, the accused, Suresh Kumar (40), a resident of Badam Masjid in Lal Darwaza is a real estate dealer, and loans money on high interest rates.
Suresh is alleged to have forcibly confined a person called Satyanarayana in his house for 47 days after he failed to return a loan.
Satyanarayana had borrowed Rs. 1,15,000 from Suresh Kumar earlier, and had managed to return only 50% of the money. Suresh Kumar had been demanding the money repeatedly by issuing threats.
When Satyanarayana expressed his inability to repay the loan, Suresh had confined him in his house after manhandling him.
Police managed to rescue the victim after his wife Govindamma, wife of Satyanarayana, filed a complaint with the Chatrinaka police.
The Chatrinaka inspector Shyam and sub-inspector Ashok Kumar raided the residence of Suresh and rescued Satyanarayana.
