Maoists of the Charla-Sabari area committee in Bhadradri Kothagudem district, who abducted Peddamidisileru village (Charla mandal) MPTC Nallari Srinivas Rao on June 8, gunned him down on Friday accusing him of being a police informer.

The extremists left his body on the Errampadu-Puttapadu road, and his two-wheeler at the spot.

Upon being informed by the locals, the police rushed to the spot and recovered the body. They also found a leaflet at the place in the name of Charla-Sabari area committee Secretary Sarada. In the leaflet, Sarada claimed that they had "encountered" Nallari Srinivasa Rao as he was working as a police informer.

She also alleged that Rao had joined hands with the intelligence arm of the police to wipe out the party from the tribal areas, and that he was also building a network of informers in the tribal villages.

She said that Rao had hatched plans to damage the reputation of the Naxalites by establishing an organization called "Tribal Civil Society", and that he had become an obstacle for them.
