8 kg Gold Seized By Customs At Hyderabad Airport
Customs officers intercepted four passengers and seized a total of eight kg of smuggled gold valued at Rs 4.86 crore, at the RGIA in Shamshabad.

In meticulously coordinated operations executed on the basis of specific intelligence, customs officers at the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport (RGIA) in Hyderabad intercepted four passengers and seized a total of eight kg of smuggled gold, valued at Rs 4.86 crore, today.
In the first case, cut gold bars weighing 2 kgs and valued at Rs 1,21,34,000 were found concealed in the trousers of a passenger who arrived from Bangkok.
In the second case, 1.78 kg of cut gold bars valued at Rs 1,08,81,165 discreetly hidden within clothing were recovered from a passenger who also arrived in the same flight from Bangkok.
In the third case, 2.17 kg of gold in paste form and valued at Rs 1,31,77,524 was found concealed by a passenger who arrived from Sharjah.
In the fourth case, too, 2.05 kg of gold in paste form and valued at Rs 1,24,31,283 was recovered from a passenger who arrived from Dubai. The gold was concealed in his undergarments.
