73 Jailed, Licences Of 10 Suspended For Drunk Driving
Five top violators who did not pay challans and nine drivers without licenses were also jailed.

The Hyderabad Traffic Police filed 591 chargesheets against drunken drivers from February 12 to 16, and the accused were produced before the III and IV Metropolitan Magistrates' Courts in Erramanzil today.
According to the Joint Commissioner of Police, Traffic, the Metropolitan Magistrate convicted 73 of the accused and sentenced them to prison.
The magistrate also permanently suspended the licenses of 10 of the accused.
The accused were also asked to pay fines adding up to Rs 12,59,900.
Five top violators who did not pay challans and nine drivers without licenses were also jailed.
The violators who have committed the offence will also be sent for counseling at the TTIs at Goshamahal or Begumpet.
The drive against drunken driving was being continued to curb traffic violations and also for the safety of the commuters on the road, the JCP said.
