High Court Chief Justice Madan Bhimrao Lokur, on Monday, advocated the need for speedy trial and judgment in the corruption-related cases in the state.
Talking to reporters after inaugurating 3 Special Courts, to hear the CBI's cases, set up on the 12th and 13th floor of Gagan Vihar at Exhibition Roads, Chief Justice Lokur said that speedy trial of corruption cases would prove crucial in eradicating the menace of corruption.
He hoped that the investigation agency, the accused, and society in general, would benefit from the special courts.
The Chief Justice also announced that a Special CBI Court would be set up in Visakhapatnam soon.
The judges for the new CBI courts would be Justice P Rama Rao, Justice Naga Murthy Sharma and Justice Ramana Naidu.
Several judges of the state High Court, officials of the judiciary department, and CBI DIG V V Lakshminarayana, were also present. (INN)
